Wavelength, Frequency and propagation speed

Introduction

For a wave that travels through a media, the distance between two consecutive peeks is called wavelength (λ). Frequency (f) is the number of waves per unit of time and usually is measured in Hertz (Hz). The relationship between these two parameters is:         λ = v / f
being v the propagation speed of the wave in that media. There is an inverse relationship between wavelength and frequency.
